We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages to our customers while providing exceptional service with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Packages: Safely transport and deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses in a timely manner.
- Route Planning: Follow the delivery route efficiently to ensure on-time delivery and minimize fuel costs.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and completing necessary paperwork.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety on the road and protect the company’s assets.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve delivery issues or delays promptly and report them to the supervisor as necessary.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience: Prior experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights and sizes.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail for accurate deliveries and record-keeping.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with GPS systems and map applications.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle maintenance.
- Experience in customer service roles.
