Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, a strong understanding of painting techniques, and the ability to work safely on a construction site. The successful candidate will be responsible for painting various surfaces, including stucco, drywall, and concrete, and will be expected to maintain a high level of quality in their work. This is a hands-on role that requires a maintenance person mentality and a willingness to learn and grow with our company.
Responsibilities:
- Apply paint to various surfaces, including stucco, drywall, and concrete, using a variety of techniques and materials.
- Read and follow construction plans and blueprints to ensure accurate painting.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and filling holes and cracks.
- Estimate materials needed for a project and maintain accurate records of paint usage.
- Work on a construction site, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Collaborate with other construction team members to ensure a smooth and efficient project timeline.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including disposing of waste and cleaning up spills.
- Perform regular inspections to ensure that paint jobs are completed to the highest standards.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the painting process and make adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience working on construction sites, preferably with a background in painting.
- Familiarity with hand tools and the ability to operate them safely and effectively.
- Basic math skills to accurately estimate materials needed for a project.
- Knowledge of construction estimating and the ability to apply this knowledge to painting projects.
- Experience with stucco, drywall, and concrete finishing.
- Ability to maintain a high level of quality in their work and to follow safety protocols.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with other construction team members.
- Willingness to learn and grow with our company.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
