STAFF ACCOUNTANT
DEPARTMENT : Finance

GENERAL :

SUMMARY :
The Staff Accountant assists the CFO with daily, monthly, and annual accounting functions, and provides support to the Finance Department in other areas as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Comply with policies and procedures pertaining to AP and Payroll, as well as with annual audit recommendations
- Prepare bi-weekly productivity reports
- Assist AP / Payroll Coordinator with all aspects of AP / PR functions, including, but not limited to the following :
Process Accounts Payable. Reconcile vendor statements, resolve any discrepancies with the vendors, keep information updated with vendors for prompt invoicing and payments

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
Ability to read, analyze, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write policies and procedures that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
