Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. If you have a passion for working with children and creating memorable experiences, this role is perfect for you.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage campers in various activities and games
- Implement behavior management techniques to ensure a positive and safe environment
- Assist in planning and leading educational and recreational activities
- Provide guidance and support to campers in their personal growth and development
- Maintain a clean and organized camp environment
- Collaborate with other counselors to coordinate daily schedules
Requirements:
- Able to Pass a DHS Background check
-Previous experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, sports coaching, or similar roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and effective communication skills with campers
- Certification in first aid is preferred
- Experience in Christian counseling or related fields is a plus

Summer Camp Counselor
Seasonal – (could move into year round position) Compensation is Negotiable and dependent on Experience and Credentials

REQUIRED – Must Be able to Pass DHS Clearance
Completion of Required Courses and/or 15 Hours of Continuing Education
Hot Springs Gymnastics will pay for any cost incurred by obtaining the clearance or courses required to complete.
Camp Dates: June 3rd - August 16th 2024
Camp hours are from 9-3 Monday – Friday
– After Care is from 3:00-5:00
–Before Care 8:00 AM -9:00 AM
– There is no aftercare on Fridays
– Exact Times and Hours are Flexible and can be negotiated
Duties are, but not limited too:
- HAVING FUN and BEING SAFE!
- Creating Games/projects and end of the week performance that goes along with our Theme of the Week.
- Keeping track of all sign-in and out Sheets
- Facilitating emergency drills – And Keeping proper records of this
- Ensuring that the gym is cleaned and prepared for Afternoon Classes daily
The job also requires the ability to work with boys and girls of different ages. We treat our members like family here, at Hot Springs Gymnastics!
