What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Pharmacist position at Hot Springs Health Program?
The Pharmacist oversees and supervises the daily activities of the four Hot Springs Health Program pharmacies, and pre-packing for Madison County Health Department per the guidelines set by N.C. Board of Pharmacy. They provide services that reflect the mission, standards, and philosophy of the Hot Springs Health Program.

- Abide by and work within the guidelines of N.C. Board of Pharmacy.
- Oversee all relevant areas of pharmacy activities as a pharmacist on duty or according to prescriber dispensing limitations when a provider is functioning as a dispensing provider.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory including but not limited to the functions of ordering CII medications, returns, out-of-date medication processes, and drug recalls.
- Complete and/or ensure the accuracy and safety of all prescriptions, wholesaler invoices, pre-pack logs, and daily DEA transactions.
- Compile and ensure the accuracy of pharmacy report activities promptly.
- Supervise pharmacy technician activities in the pharmacy.
- Train and update pharmacy technicians or other team members in current pharmacy procedures.
- Compile/update the Pharmacy Procedure Manual for pharmacy procedures as needed.
- In conjunction with the HSHP CFO or other designated leader, keep pharmacy fees updated and competitive.
- Education: Current N.C. Pharmacist License
- Experience: Prior Pharmacy Management experience is preferred but not required.
- Other: Valid N.C. Driver’s License, and dependable transportation.
Salary : $35 - $65
