SUMMARY: Requires valid Arkansas driver’s license and clean driving record with proof of liability insurance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform unskilled tasks in a variety of construction and maintenance activities such as carpentry, plumbing, and painting and lake maintenance.
- Requires working in all types of weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Represent the Recreation Department and the Property Owners Association (POA) in a positive, friendly and courteous manner.
- Maintain a safe and orderly work environment using proper safety equipment and techniques.
- Have a thorough knowledge of rules and regulations and POA policies in all areas of responsibilities.
- Perform minor mechanical and adjustments on all landscape equipment.
- May be required to drive POA vehicle or personal vehicle while conducting POA business.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Any other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, making every effort to accommodate customer needs.
- Ensure the safety of patrons and staff through accident prevention and safety policy, enforcing all facility and recreation location rules and regulations.
- Have a thorough knowledge of rules, regulations and operational use with regard to POA amenity use.
- Maintain a safe, clean amenity/facility at all times.
- Report to supervisor any safety materials needed or maintenance concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires ability to operate and maintain landscape power equipment and tractor lawn mowers.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
