JOB TITLE : Sales Coordinator
DEPARTMENT : Sales Department
SUPERVISOR : Area Director of Sales
PURPOSE OF POSITION :
Assists Area Director of Sales in all facets of the sales / marketing / service process in the solicitation and management of a sales vertical market to help ensure all financial and sales goals are achieved or exceeded.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- 50% Account prospecting, solicitation, and development via telephone, personal contact, outside calls, correspondence, email and other means of communication. Conduct hotel site inspections, entertain both in house and off property, and maintain thorough follow up methods.
- 25% Answers telephone and responds to caller inquiries. Exercises decision-making skills to direct callers based on requests. Accurately records and distributes messages. Communicates with other hotel associates to relay pertinent sales related information.
- 15% Organizes, files, distributes, emails, faxes, and other essential functions necessary in the daily department operation.
- 5% Act's as liaison between Area Director of Sales and clients in Area Director of Sales absence.
- 5% Performs supportive functions as needed.
- Knowledgeable of brand standards, service standards, guest expectations.

Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, typing, and communication skills and abilities. High school diploma required. Bilingual English / Spanish preferred but not required.
