What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server position at Hotel Alex Johnson?
- Setup, execution, and clean up for events
- Greet guests and be responsible for accommodating all guests' needs at the event; providing exceptional service to every guest
- Deliver food and beverages from staging areas to guests
- Learn and practice buffet, plated, and reception-style meal services (training provided)
- Perform all side-work duties
- Maintain clean service areas at all times
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
- Must be 16 years or older
- Previous experience as a bartender/server is preferred but not required
- Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills
- Previous money-handling and cash register experience is preferred
- Maintain a professional and personable appearance
- Ability to work in a standing position for up to 8 hours
- Ability to carry trays of 25 pounds
- Ability to work under time pressure constraints with a positive attitude
