Overview
We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee Saint Bibiana at Hotel Bardo Savannah. This individual is a “culture setter” who embodies the Bardo brand and sets the standard for impeccable and anticipatory service. This Assistant General Manager will lead, train, and inspire our team for our Coastal Italian restaurant, Saint Bibiana. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering a dynamic and elevated restaurant environment and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This position is based in Savannah, Georgia.
Responsibilities
- The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns, or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
- Responsible for meeting restaurant financials
- Collaborate with the Director of Beverage on wine and cocktail programming
- Ensure that every guest receives personalized and attentive service, addressing concerns or issues promptly and professionally
- Find creative solutions to optimize revenue while maintaining the quality of our offerings
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and the front-of-house
- Partner with the brand team to ensure brand, service and culture standards are met and maintained
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service quality
Qualifications
- Italian Wine knowledge preferred
- Passionate about food & beverage and elevated service, with advanced knowledge of F&B operations, ideally within luxury and/or fine dining environment(s)
- Hard-working team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excels at written and verbal communication
- Excellent presentation and grooming standards
- Ability to endure abundant physical movement in various work areas
