Overview
We are seeking a service-driven IT Manager to oversee all information technology systems and infrastructure within the hotel. The role ensures seamless operations of hardware, software, networks, and communication systems that both support guest-facing services and internal operations. The IT Manager works closely with department heads, vendors, and corporate IT (if applicable) to maintain system reliability, data security, and user support.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all hotel IT systems, including property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, guest Wi-Fi, and back-office networks
- Ensure data security, perform regular system backups, and implement cybersecurity best practices
- Troubleshoot technical issues for team members and guests, ensuring timely resolution
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for system upgrades, maintenance, and support
- Train team members on technology use and provide ongoing support
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Support audio-visual (AV) and IT needs for meetings, events, and conferences held at the hotel
- Maintain inventory and ensure proper functioning of all IT equipment
- Stay current on technology trends relevant to the hospitality industry
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of IT experience, preferably in hospitality or a similar service-driven environment
- Strong knowledge of networking, system administration, and hotel technology platforms (PMS, POS, etc.)
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and respond to emergency situations as needed
- Degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
