Host Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
- Assist with food preparation and handling as needed, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or feedback with professionalism and courtesy.
- Support catering events or banquets as required, providing excellent service to large groups.
Skills
- Strong guest relations skills with the ability to create a positive dining experience.
- Experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of bartending practices is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with catering services and banquet operations is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating patience and attentiveness to guests' needs.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
- Basic food preparation and handling knowledge is preferred for assisting kitchen staff when necessary.
Banquet Server
Hotel Bellwether's Lighthouse Grill is recruiting for our Banquet department. We are seeking team members for events up to 350people. Join us if you have good customer service skills, previous experience in this industry, and enjoying working in an environment of respect and people who enjoy what they do.
Responsibilities (Include, but are not limited too)
· Maintain professionalism among guests as well as fellow employees
· Assist with set-up/tear down of tables, linens, chairs, etc.
· Provide excellent food and beverage service for banquet events
· Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures
· Maintain sense of urgency when on the service floor
· Perform back of the house, front of the house and side work duties for overall productivity of banquet events
· Maintain positive and professional attitude
· Seek council from management when needed
· Complete all other assigned duties as necessary
· Maintain clear and open communication between all staff members for overall event success
· Follow Health and Safety practices at all times
· Maintain open communication regarding availability to manager for scheduling purposes as hours do change (vary based upon event schedule and needs)
· Hold valid Food Handler's Card and MAST 12 Permit
