Laundry Attendant
Job Summary
Laundry Attendant: 3/5 days a week, MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS NO EXCEPTIONS
The laundry attendant is responsible for collecting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding the linens and towels for the hotel. Additionally, the laundry attendant will be responsible for accurately tracking all laundering performed for outside customers for billing purposes.
Qualifications
· Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or drag up to 30 pounds
· Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and perform other physical duties for several hours.
· Knowledge of laundry equipment and the proper use of laundry chemicals
· Prior hotel experience is beneficial
· Must be able to understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
Responsibilities
· Washing, drying and pressing restaurant linens and hotel items such as towels, robes and bed linens
· Pre-spotting, folding, counting and putting away all linens and towels
· Clean floors, machines, sink, carts and tables in both the laundry room and chute room
· Occasionally perform light maintenance on laundry equipment
· Checks equipment for proper functioning
· Checks wash cycles regularly for proper performance
· Loads and unloads, as well as sets the cycles for the washer and dryer
· Sends torn articles to the seamstress for repair
· Fills requests from food and beverage as needed
· Keeps the laundry room neat and clean
· Checks and stocks supplies
· Keeps maintenance records on machinery and turns these over to the room manager
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

- Commercial & Industrial Laundry Occupations: 1 year (Preferred)
- Laundry: 1 year (Preferred)
