SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Chief of Engineering, the Maintenance Supervisor responds to all General Maintenance service calls. Responsible for Life Safety standards, performing necessary tasks and demonstrating knowledge relating to hotel property maintenance. Evaluating maintenance with high quality standards and an exceptional guest service mindset.
• Facilitates the daily maintenance operations throughout the property by walk-through and visual inspections assessing the safe and efficient maintenance of the physical structure of the hotel, kitchen, restaurants, banquet, and dining areas.
• Performs or directs basic repair and maintenance of facilities, guest rooms and public spaces.
• Maintains building by performing/directing basic repairs, carpentry, shoveling, clean-up work, snow/ ice removal, plumbing, electrical wiring, painting, and related maintenance activities.
• Optimizes maintenance staff and outside vendors repairs, replacements. audits/inspections, and improvement projects. Reports and updates Chief Engineer / GM / Department heads as necessary.
• Prioritize work orders through urgent requests or schedules work to minimize inconveniencing hotel/ banquet/dining guests. Coordinating those schedules with effected departments.
• Inspects and maintains machinery and equipment for conformance with operations, optimizing the assets and meeting safety standards.
• Moves supplies, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and guest luggage as required.
• Able to maintain all Marriott Quality Assurance standards and excel during annual inspections.
• Properly maintains inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies required for daily operations and projects. Organizes tools and supplies to increase productivity.
• Provides timely and professional assistance to the other departments of the Hotel.
• Accountable for materials used and requesting of items needed for projects.
•Maintains cleanliness and organization of the work areas.
• Handles chemicals according to hotel/regulatory safety requirements.
•Ensures security of any assigned keys and RFID key system.
• Associates must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
• Other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer and/or General Manager.
• Safe operation and use of snow blower, small power tools, shovels, rakes, saws, compressed air and cordless maintenance tools.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
• Able to comply with current related safety and health requirements while being safety conscious.
• Read basic building plans and researching product drawings, specifications, and manuals.
• Must possess physical stamina and condition to withstand heavy labor in an outside environment.
• Ability to work without supervision and maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Able to work a varied schedule including holidays, weekends, and nights as business dictates.
• Position requires assigned times of being on call 24/7 to support immediate and emergency needs.
• Strong knowledge of commercial building repair and maintenance to include all trades i.e. Electrical, Plumbing, Drywall, Paint, Carpentry, and Carpet repair.
• 5 years of hospitality maintenance experience preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
