ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Inspect the set up of meeting and banquet functions, checking them against the Banquet Event Order.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
- Supervise and assist with the set up of assigned banquet functions, ensuring that the hotel's standards are met, and advance preparation for service is adequate to allow efficient service to the guest once the function begins.
- Assist in service of banquet functions as required.
- Assist in banquet set-up as required.
- Know hotel services and facilities.
- Assist audio/visual company, as necessary.
- Respond to guests' requests as needed.
- Correct hazards and notify management.
- Attend meetings as assigned.
- Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by Food & Beverage Director and Banquets Manager.
- Previous Banquets experience is highly desired.
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
- Knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local health and safety regulations.
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry or transport up to 50 pounds.
- Manager food handler certification, and alcohol awareness certification or attain within 30 days of hire.
