What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server $4.69 + Gratuity position at Hotel Emma?
To serve food and beverages at banquet functions in a timely manner and in an environment of teamwork.
Duties are as follows but not limited to:
- Thoroughly review BEO and all details of the event
- Set food and beverage buffets and tables as specified on BEO
- Serve food and beverage to the tables or on a buffet, clear buffet and tables
- Responds to last minute changes or special requests that may occur during event
- Work effectively with the kitchen staff and banquet team to ensure that events are successful
- Perform set up and serve beverages as needed for bars and beverage stations
- Perform side work and other duties as assigned
- Post checks and ring in orders
- Superior wait staff service skills.
- Position requires reading, writing and effective communication with departments and team. Completely understands the Kimpton meeting and banquet presentation standards.
- Basic understanding of POS system.
- Ability to present and conduct oneself professionally and emulates the Kimpton Culture.
- Minimum knowledge, skills, and experience required but not limited to a minimum of one year as a server.
- High school diploma or general education degree GED
