Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Painter for The Henry Hotel in Dearborn, MI
Job Purpose:
The Painter is responsible for the repair, maintenance, upkeep, and replacement of the property's cosmetic materials (interior/exterior painting, patching of woodwork, and furniture refinishing) in accordance with hotel standards. Assist in other areas of Engineering as assigned. Warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassure guests they’ve made the right choice to stay with us.
- Receive daily work assignments from Engineering Manager
- Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments
- Maintain time lines and work schedulestimelines in accordance with the preventive maintenance program
- Make rounds checking problem areas, note any touch-up needs or any safety concerns in the hotel
- Schedule work in accordance with preventive maintenance program in rooms
- Maintain par stock levels of standard paint, brushes wallpapers, stains, sign lettering and other supplies
- Install and repair vinyl and wallpaper
- Remove/replace drywall as needed along with finishing compound
- Strip and refinish guest room furniture
- Maintenance and storage of all tools and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work areas
- Handle chemicals according to hotel requirements
- Ensure security of any assigned keys
- Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all hotel and departmental policies and procedures
- Assist with room's maintenance
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.
