What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Operations- CALA Region-Miami based position at Hotel Equities?
The Vice President of Operations-CALA will have a vital role in overseeing the dynamic development of our growing hotel portfolio. Our ideal candidate will be engaged and authentic. They will have a strong focus in on-property results, with a desire to invest in our hotels and teams’ success.
The Vice President of Operations is a key member of our Senior Leadership Team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Strategically lead all facets of our growing portfolio of complex, full, lifestyle, and upper-midscale hotels and resorts.
- Support regionally deployed vertical leaders and property-based teams to drive best-in-class results across all KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with all brand initiatives and franchise standards.
- Drive top-line revenue, and STR metrics to ensure appropriate flex/flow performance to maximize owner returns.
- Develop/oversight of annual budgeting, marketing, and operating plans.
- Key point of contact with ownership groups and brand partners.
- Local engagement with specific associations and meetings.
- Plan and attend monthly ownership financial meetings.
- Partner with business development on owner presentations; provide operational expertise for the underwriting process and discussion.
You are:

- Open to a remote traveling role of up to 50%. Must be near an area with airport access. Passport needed.
- Proven multi-unit experience in operations, working with Hilton, Marriott, IHG and independently branded hotels
- Experience with leading select, upper-mid-scale, large and full-service hotels
- Successful leader opening, transitioning, renovating and turning over properties
- Bilingual-English/Spanish
- An excellent communicator; oral and written.
- Detailed organizational skills with keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
- Assertive by nature

- Diplomatic and tactful, with a supportive, positive, professional presentation and attitude
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and results-driven
- Travel, estimated 50% locally, with l out-of-state conferences or visits to partner hotels
- 7-10 years of progressive hotel general management experience including at least 5 years of Full-Service experience
