Beverage Supervisor Overview:

Hotel Gettysburg is seeking a passionate and experienced Beverage Supervisor to oversee all aspects of our bar and beverage operations. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences by managing inventory, crafting innovative beverage menus, maintaining high service standards, and leading a talented team of bartenders and servers. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktails, as well as a strong background in hospitality and leadership.

Responsibilities include:

Beverage Program & Menu Development:

• Design and curate seasonal beverage menus, including cocktails, wines, and beer selections.
• Stay current with industry trends to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
• Maintain proper beverage costs and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
• Coordinate with culinary teams for beverage pairings and special event menus.

Operations & Compliance:

• Oversee daily bar and restaurant operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Maintain all licensing and compliance with state and federal liquor laws.
• Implement and enforce responsible alcohol service policies.
• Monitor and manage beverage inventory, ordering, and cost control.
• Ensure all equipment and bar areas are clean, organized, and in working order.

Guest Experience & Service Standards:

• Train and mentor staff on mixology, beverage knowledge, and exceptional guest service.
• Develop and maintain high standards for presentation and consistency.
• Engage with guests, recommend pairings, and ensure satisfaction.
• Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Recruit, train, and manage bartenders, servers, and support staff.
• Foster a positive, motivated, and collaborative team environment.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Schedule staff efficiently to align with business needs and labor cost goals.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3–5 years in a Beverage Supervisor or similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
• ServSafe Alcohol and/or TIPS certification required. Sommelier or Cicerone certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, beers, and cocktails.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and cost control.
• Ability to train and develop staff in service techniques and product knowledge.
• Strong customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.
• Flexibility: Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to back a background check.
