Position Overview

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of high-quality coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages in a full-service hotel restaurant and bar setting. This role combines beverage preparation with exceptional guest service, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for guests throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation:

• Prepare and serve all coffee and espresso-based drinks according to standardized recipes.
• Craft specialty beverages and non-alcoholic drinks to order.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage equipment safely and efficiently.

Guest Service:

• Greet guests warmly and take accurate beverage and food orders.
• Provide product recommendations and promote featured drinks or seasonal offerings.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining a clean, organized, and friendly environment.

Operational Duties:

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of barista station, equipment, and prep areas.
• Restock ingredients, supplies, and disposables as needed throughout the shift.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines as required by the hotel and local regulations.

Coordination with Restaurant & Bar:

• Work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to support the flow of service.
• Assist with basic food prep, to-go orders, or room service beverage needs when required.
• Support morning, midday, and evening service depending on the hotel’s F&B schedule.

Qualifications:

• Previous barista, café, or restaurant experience preferred, especially in a high-volume or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of coffee and espresso preparation techniques.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
• Must be available to work flexible shifts including mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of hot beverages and equipment.
