Masa & Agave the ultimate cantina experience in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. Using authentic flavors and techniques, we prepare corn masa starters, Mexico City-style tacos and other cantina classics to pair with your choice of over 200 agave spirits. 

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Restaurant FOH Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant during the morning and midday shifts. This role ensures exceptional guest service, efficient operations, and adherence to brand and quality standards. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on leadership, support team members, and assist with administrative tasks to drive restaurant success.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow.
• Monitor food and beverage quality, ensuring compliance with brand standards and health regulations.
• Complete opening procedures and checklist to prepare for breakfast and lunch service.
• Assist in training and support of front-of-house and back-of-house teams to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction
• Model guest engagement by addressing inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
• Provide hands-on leadership and maintain a strong presence on the floor during service hours, in addition to serving guests as needed.
• Oversee and assist staff with table service, seating, and guest interactions as needed.
• Ensure proper staff coverage and adjust roles to meet business demands.
• Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service and hospitality standards.
• Assist with daily cash handling, end-of-shift reconciliation, and deposit preparation.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate important updates and service goals.
• Complete shift reports and document any operational or staff-related concerns.
• Oversee LBW (Liquor, Beer, and Wine) deliveries and invoice reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with employee break and clock-in adherence, as well as new hire training requirements.
• Support special projects as needed.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new hires to uphold service standards.
• Provide real-time coaching and feedback to enhance team performance.
• Foster teamwork and a positive work environment.

Must Haves:

• Prior restaurant supervisory or lead experience preferred, ideally in a hotel setting.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems, reservation platforms, and basic administrative tasks.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food and beverage service.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. as needed.
