About the Role :

Hotel Julien Dubuque is seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our historic property. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical, general contracting, pool service, and plumbing, with a proven ability to manage a diverse range of facilities tasks.

Responsibilities :

Maintenance and Repairs :

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pool equipment.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs and renovations.

Project Management :

Manage and oversee facility improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Collaborate with hotel management to identify and prioritize facility needs.

Safety and Compliance :

Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations.

Conduct regular safety inspections and implement necessary safety measures.

Vendor Management :

Manage relationships with vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality service.

Budgeting :

Assist in developing and managing the facilities budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Team Leadership :

Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or related field.

Strong technical skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general contracting.

Experience in pool maintenance and operations.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver's license.

Compensation : 26-$29 per hour

Salary : $26 - $29
