Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with experience in both restaurant and catering environments. Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
- Develop and design menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during events and banquets.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet the restaurant's standards.
- Implement cost control measures to minimize waste while maximizing quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management.
- Experience in banquet preparation and execution is preferred.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff.
- Strong organizational skills for effective inventory management.
- Creativity in menu planning and food presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.70 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
