Duties
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage all aspects of food production, including menu planning, inventory control, and food handling practices.
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to create innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends.
- Ensure consistent quality of dishes by conducting regular taste tests and maintaining strict quality control measures.
- Oversee catering services for special events, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of meals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health regulations and safety standards.
- Monitor food costs and waste, implementing strategies to minimize expenses while maximizing quality.
- Foster a collaborative team environment through effective communication and team management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or catering industry.
- Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management.
- Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen management practices.
- Familiarity with food service management software is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead the kitchen team and collaborate with other departments.
- Certification in food handling or culinary arts is preferred.
- Manage alcohol and bar area.

Pay: $17.42 - $21.60 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
