Building and Grounds Maintenance
Starting at $17hr. – DOE
Mission: Represent the property with dignity, integrity, and a spirit of cooperation in all relationships with staff and the public.
The Position: This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. May be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills.
Job Duties:
• Assist in maintenance of property all aspects of cleaning, power washing, and dusting
• Performs painting of interior and exterior buildings
• Checks pool and spa chemicals
• Pick-up and throws away garbage on all property (assigned sections)
• Assist in maintenance of guest rooms (unclog toilets, cleaning carpets, etc.)
• Assist in set-up and breakdown of banquet, meeting rooms and all event spaces including restaurant/lounge
• Assist in any department when needed
• Reads and logs of water and electric meters
• Changes light bulbs
• Inspects assigned areas, corrects or reports safety hazard
• Responds to guest questions and comments in a timely manner
• Maintains basic records of work performed
Qualifications:
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
• Experience performing routine maintenance.
• Strong organizational and follow up skills.
• Eye for detail.
• Professional presentation and attitude.
• Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
• Strong time management skills
• Must be able to lift, push, pull 50lbs.
- Be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time up to 8-12 hours a day
