The Banquet Captain position serves as a liaison between the customer, other servers and the kitchen staff. The successful candidate for this role will oversee the handling of customer complaints, answer questions about daily specials and work with other servers to ensure that all guests receive proper seating and customer service. While previous experience as a Banquet Captain is preferred, we are interested in hiring an individual with strong leadership skills and an ability to perform under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with the banquet manager regarding staffing, food preparation, and any special requests or concerns.
- Supervise banquet servers.
- Monitor the service of the waitstaff.
- Inspect the work of the waitstaff for quality.
- Ensure that guests find their seating arrangement satisfactory.
- Arrange for staff members to take breaks in appropriate manner.
- Handle emergency situations that arise during service.
