Overview Assist in supervising, training, and inspecting the performance of the Pool, ensuring that all procedures are completed to the hotel's standards. Assist all guests at Pool facilities with towels, seating, retail, and requests courteously and efficiently, according to standards. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all supplies, equipment, work areas, and ensure guest safety and enjoyment. Assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests.Responsibilities Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Resort Pool.Assist with the day-to-day administration of pool and event staff to include facility walks, PO input, daily line-ups, training of the week, scheduling, and team coaching.Ensure the physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the pool, including sections and side stations.Enforce high standards of hygiene and sanitation within the outlets.Ensure the security of monies, credit, and financial transactions.Supervise the performance, attendance, attitudes, appearance, and conduct of the service team.Assist in monitoring and maintaining the outlets’ systems and equipment.Empower the team to exceed service standards.Instill a calm, organized approach in all stressful situations.Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies / service procedures / standards.Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.Maintain complete knowledge of : Daily house count, VIPs in-house, arrivals / departures.Scheduled group activities and locations within the hotel.All hotel facilities and services.Hours of operation of each outlet.All equipment and services available for guests at the Pool / Beach facility.All safety and sanitation regulations for the Pool / Beach facility.Proper use of respective tools, equipment, and supplies in the department.Adhere to all cashiering procedures and reports in accordance with accounting specifications.Prepare staff assignments according to department procedures.Check storage areas for proper supplies, organization, and cleanliness. Complete requisition for additional supplies needed and submit to Manager.Instruct designated personnel to rectify any cleanliness / organization deficiencies.Ensure that staff has reported to work; document any late or absent employees.Coordinate breaks for assigned staff.Distribute assignments and side work to staff in accordance with departmental procedures. Communicate additions or changes to the assignments as they arise throughout the shift. Identify situations that compromise the department's standards and delegate these tasks.Conduct pre-shift meeting with staff and review all information pertinent to daily business demands.Inspect grooming and attire of staff; rectify any deficiencies.Constantly monitor staff performance in all job functions, ensuring that all procedures are completed to department standards; rectify any deficiencies with respective personnel.Ensure all charges for rental and sale items are accurately processed.Ensure all safety precautions are implemented and monitored.Provide feedback on staff performance to the manager. Report disciplinary problems to the manager and participate in the counseling of employees.Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and employee morale.Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to Engineering.Contact Engineering directly for urgent repairs.Document pertinent information in the department log book.Complete all paperwork and closing duties.Secure all work areas and storerooms at closing.Additional Duties & Responsibilities : Assist Pool Manager.Attend designated meetings.Assist with inventories as assigned.Assist with Children’s Programs and Group Recreation Events as needed.Assist with the development and implementation of new activities programs for both Group and Pointe Discovery.Assist with the design and implementation of training programs.Assist in developing and implementing controls for expense management.Help to implement strategies to continually improve revenues.Assist with establishing par levels for supplies and equipment.Assist in seasonal training and operations plans for the pools.Qualifications Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational individual.Ability to implement and uphold service standards.Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort.Be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment.Focus attention on details.Perform job functions in an outdoor environment with exposure to sun, high temperatures, wind, and the ocean.Experience, Education, & Licensure : Valid certification in first aid and C.P.R.Must be able to speak and comprehend English.High School diploma preferred.Must possess a valid Food Handler’s card.CompensationBase Pay Start Rate : $26 / Hr.We offer a competitive benefit package for full-time, regular team members that includes group medical, dental, vision, life, disability benefits, and an employee assistance program.
