What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at Hotel Providence?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Check guests in and out of the hotel using the computerized reservation system
- Answer phone calls and provide information to guests or transfer calls to appropriate departments
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with patience and professionalism
- Assist guests with inquiries about hotel amenities, local attractions, and directions
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Process payments from guests and ensure accuracy of billing information
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a customer service role is preferred
- Familiarity with phone systems and computerized reservation systems is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling guest information
