YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS

As the Reservations & Revenue Specialist, you are directly responsible for providing superior customer service to all guests with knowledge of room accommodation types, hotel services and amenities. You will be responsible for recording/processing of reservations of room sales and assist as a liaison between the Sales team and Hotel Operations team. You will also assist with maximizing room sales and revenue for the hotel by accurately entering all rooming lists and maintaining group cut-off dates. You will play an integral part in Revenue Maximization of the hotel by attending Revenue Maximization meetings, making rate changes, and managing OTA channels.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
- Assist with maintaining existing groups
- Develop and implement communication processes for all operations (Group resumes, LNR Rate updates, etc.)
- Create Group Resume’s through detailed communications with Sales Managers
- Lead Group Resume overview meetings with operations team (F&B and Hotels)
- Assist the Sales Team in capturing new leads and assist with site visits.
- Compose and distribute routing correspondence, reports, Group resumes based on organizational practice and policies at the direction of the General Manager.
- Communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written form with guests and associates to respond accurately and completely. Must be able to give directions, instructions, information, answer questions and provide service as required.
- Work closely with front desk to ensure accuracy of reservations and group room blocks. Assist with front desk coverage at times of need.
- Follow reservation policies and procedures to maximize revenue.
- Organize materials and assemble information packages in coordination with sales team.
- Coordinate with sales the client’s due dates for rooming lists, cut-off dates, contacts, etc. to ensure that all deadlines are met and extensions in place.
- Participate in Revenue Maximization meetings, make necessary rate changes based on revenue strategies agreed upon in these meetings.
- Manage rates on OTA channels as needed
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms for tours and VIP guests.
- Building account information, updating information systems, assisting guests with reservations.
- Build reservations from rooming lists for groups and set up proper billing accounts according to Accounting policies in Property Management System.
- Facilitate amenities, shuttles, billing, vouchers, gift bags and all other special items and requests to accommodate guests.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language. Prepare and review documents accurately and completely. Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
- Accommodate and document special requests. Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations
- Assist sales and operation teams with weekly pick-up reports and month end reporting

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience and/or Training
- One year of experience in Front Desk, Reservations, or Revenue Management
MANDATORY REQUIREMENT
- U.S. Work Authorization (required).
