Summary:
A Runner will assist food service employees in delivering food to tables, maintain cleanliness and attend to needs behind the bar, clean tables, carry dirty dishes, replace soiled table linens; setting tables; replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes; and serve water, appetizers and coffee to patrons.
The person in this position must have excellent communication skills, the ability to resolve conflict, and a thorough understanding of Bunkhouse policies. A Runner must develop and maintain the company’s culture, values and reputation in the public eye and with all staff, guests, vendors and partners.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Six (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry
· Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals

Job Responsibilities:
· Adhere to dress code policies during shift
· Perform serving, cleaning, and stocking duties in order to facilitate customer service
· Ensure immediate response is given to any and all guest comments and concerns and inform immediate supervisor of concerns and assist implementing corrective measure when necessary
· Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays
· Ensure sure that beverage and ice dispensers, cabinets, serving areas are stocked
· Replenish supplies of food and equipment at service bars/satellite service stations
· Stock refrigerating units with wines and bottled beer, and replace empty beer keg
· Set tables with clean linens, condiments, and other supplies
· Scrape and stack dirty dishes, and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning
· Clean tables, counters, shelves, walls, furniture, and equipment in food service areas and other areas of restaurants, and mop and vacuum floors
· Wash glasses and other serving equipment at bars
· Clean up spilled food, drink and broken dishes, and remove empty bottles and trash
· Serve ice water, coffee, and standard appetizers (i.e. bread/butter or chips/salsa) to patrons
· Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and upper management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc., to ensure all needs of the hotel are met
· Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
· Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition
· Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property
· Keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements
· Attend relevant meetings
· Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos and verbal instruction
