Job Summary
The Safety Director is responsible for overseeing the safety and compliance programs within the organization. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. The Safety Director will work closely with various departments to promote safety awareness and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies that comply with industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide training and resources to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with management to assess risks associated with fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler fitting, and alarm system sales.
- Oversee the design and installation of fire alarm systems, ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements.
- Conduct construction inspections to verify that safety protocols are being followed during building projects.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance audits.
- Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies regarding safety matters.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a safety management role or similar position within the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler fitting, system design, and construction inspection processes.
- Relevant certifications in safety management or related fields are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining a strong focus on safety compliance.
- Proficiency in developing training materials related to fire alarm sales and other safety-related topics.
