Job Summary
Hotel Vermont, conveniently located in downtown Burlington, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order in our facilities. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for guests and ensuring that all areas are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Fill cart with supplies and transport cart to assigned area.
• Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering.
• Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
• Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items.
• Make beds and fold terry.
• Clean bathrooms. Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items.
• Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order.
• Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.
• Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings. Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties

Requirements

• Must be able to speak and understand the primary languages. (English required)
• Require good communication, verbal and written
• Must be able to work weekends (including holidays) and must be able to work one day during the regular work week (Monday to Friday)
• Must be able to clean 15 guestrooms per day
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs on a regular basis
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4hrs
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks
• High school or equivalent education preferred
• Prior hospitality experience desired or prior experience in cleaning rooms
• Basic knowledge of use and operation of all necessary cleaning equipment
• Basic knowledge of chemical use

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
