As a Children’s Programs Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the success of our renowned Children’s Ski and Snowboarding programs. Your mission will be to foster a fun, engaging, and safe environment for kids as they take their first steps into the world of snowsports. In a Typical Day In This Role, You Might
Snowsports Ability Description
Beginner - A skier/snowboarder learning for the first time, starting to link turns or beginning to navigate easy intermediate terrain (not quite parallel turns for skiers).
Intermediate - A skier/snowboarder who is confident and able to navigate intermediate terrain consistently linking turns (parallel turns for skiers).
Advanced Intermediate - A skier/snowboarder who athletically rides steep intermediate and advance terrain, with dynamic carved turns in a variety of turns shapes.
Advanced - An experienced skier/snowboarder who conquers any challenge on the mountain, with the ability to ride all types of advance terrain with ease, including black runs, off-piste, icey and bumpy conditions.
Additional Information
Most of our Snowsports team are employed based on a casual basis with either unlimited or limited availability. You will be able to let us know in your application which option best suits you. Unlimited availability team members must be able to commit to working up to 6 days per week for the duration of the winter season. Limited availability team members must be able to commit to the minimum availability as listed below for each resort.

In a Typical Day In This Role, You Might
- Provide valuable indoor and outdoor support to our Snowsports instructing team and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Assist with daily operations such as setting up lesson meeting areas, coordinating the check-in and check-out procedures and supervising children.
- Maintain cleanly and healthy facilities, including kitchens and bathrooms.
- Safely prepare and handle food for program break and lunch times.
- Actively participate as a member of a diverse team and provide support to your peers and other departments where needed.
- Navigate an active an exhilarating workplace and participate in professional development opportunities.
- A friendly and patient personality, and truly enjoy working with children.
- Experience working with children (i.e. babysitting, day care, community sports or supporting children) (desirable).
- Excellent guest service and communication skills, including conversational in all aspects of the English language (spoken and written).
- Intermediate or higher skiing ability to assist with on-snow operations (desirable) – Please see our Snowsports ability description below.
- Current first aid certification (desirable)

- Perisher - typically includes two (2) weeks during the New South Wales July school holidays and other peak periods when possible, or as otherwise agreed upon with the Snowsports School Senior Manager.
- Falls Creek - typically includes two (2) weeks during the Victorian July school holidays and most weekends in August, or as otherwise agreed upon with the Snowsports School Senior Manager.
- Hotham - typically includes two (2) weeks during the Victorian July school holidays and all weekends in August, or as otherwise agreed upon with the Snowsports School Senior Manager.
