What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mulesoft Developer position at Hotwire Communications?
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Design Application Programming Interface (API) layers, data model and API specifications.
- Develop APIs using Mulesoft platform components, including API Manager, CloudHub, AnyPoint Studio, Data weave and AnyPoint Messaging Queue (MQ).
- Manage the development solution features following MuleSoft development best practices
- Ensure solution performance and system scalability.
- Test and improve the performance of APIs in terms of response time, reliability and resource usage.
- Design and implement comprehensive error-handling strategies for applications.
- Drive continuous integration and delivery of APIs using DevOps tools.
- Configure and deploy Mule applications to CloudHub and/or single or clusters of customer-hosted Mule runtimes.
- Implementing and consuming (Representational State Transfer) REST and (Single Object Access Protocol) SOAP web services.
- Create and configure flows, sub flows, and flow processing strategies for reusability and performance.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues with APIs, identify source of the issue and work with the appropriate team to get the issue fixed.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science (Master’s degree preferred).
- 7 years of professional experience in information technology (IT) operations, programming, systems/software development or another IT related field.
- Software Development experience.
- Proven experience working with Mulesoft AnyPoint Platform as developer.
- Experience with implementing Application Programming Interface (API) security patterns.
- Knowledge of Agile Development and Continuous Integration\Continuous Development tools.
- Experience with Policy, Logging, Auditing and Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting.
- Experience with AMDOC’s and ServiceNow a plus.
- Industry-related experience preferred.
