What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refrigeration Service Technician position at HOUCHENS FOOD GROUP INC?
Responsibilities:
- Maintain refrigeration systems including multi-compressor rack systems and single-condensing systems.
- Diagnose refrigeration issues in supermarkets, convenience stores, and cold storage facilities.
- Collaborate and support other technicians in the field.
- Attend training in the areas of customer service, time management, technical skills, and best practices.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain quality standards.
- Lead by example and inspire coworkers to take pride in their work.
- Complete service tickets and communicate with store personnel.
- To manage inventory of parts and supplies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Preferred 2-5 years of Commercial Refrigeration experience.
- Vocational technical training is a plus.
- High School Diploma or greater.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Ability to service and install.
- Must have a skillset in commercial refrigeration products, installation, and mechanical application.
- Understanding of refrigeration systems
- Strong leadership skills and work ethic are a must.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and electronically.
- EPA certification required.
