Investment Banking Intern
Location: Cleveland, OH
Hybrid: Four days required on-site
Responsibilities:
The Investment Banking Intern will be responsible for assisting Houlihan Capital’s investment banking team with a variety of client engagements. A main focus for the Investment Banking Intern will be to work directly with the investment banking team’s Vice President and team of analysts to complete client comprehensive reports, which include (a) an overview of the company’s business operations, strategy and plans, (b) an analysis of the key value drivers and business opportunities, and (c) the development of a detailed, multi-year financial projection. Additionally, side projects will be assigned as time and capacity permits.
Expectations:
- Gather and synthesize financial and operating information about companies and industries.
- Create and update financial models.
- Draft presentation commentary for use with the firm’s clients.
- Gather market data to analyze trends and provide insights for use in firm whitepapers.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills that put the candidate at ease with financial data.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong competency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Capacity to learn quickly.
- Exceptional problem solving, organization and communication skills.
- Ability to articulate complex ideas simply and summarize effectively.
- Team player – ability to work well and collaborate with others.
- High level of integrity and a solid work ethic.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in an institution of higher education when you apply
- Experience in data analytics is preferred
- Duration: 10-week program
- Curiosity and passion for investment banking.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts.
- Highly motivated, committed and ability to work independently.
Interns will be compensated with an hourly wage of $15 for the duration of the internship. Please note that additional benefits are not included.
