Job Purpose:
Houlihan Lokey’s Corporate Valuation Advisory Services (CVAS) practice delivers value to private equity and corporate clients across a wide range of industries. We are excitingly recruiting a financial analyst with exceptional financial modeling skills. As a Financial Analyst, you will collaborate with team members on engagement teams focusing on business valuation and intangible asset valuation in connection with mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and financial and tax reporting requirements. Engagement teams range in size from two to five team members, comprising a combination of a Managing Director, Director, VP, Associate, and Financial Analyst.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:

The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:
$70,000.00-$120,000.00
Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as the service line and location where this position may be filled.

As a Financial Analyst, you will collaborate with team members on engagement teams focusing on business valuation and intangible asset valuation in connection with mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and financial and tax reporting requirements. Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Perform financial statement modeling and analysis in connection with valuations related to M&A transaction for private equity and corporate clients
- Provide discounted cash flow, comparable company, precedent transaction, and other modeling analysis to clients
- Perform business valuations spanning purchase price allocation, goodwill impairment, intangible asset, and varying equity valuations
- Assist with other valuation needs related to tax planning and/or financial reporting
- Develop client materials including reports and PowerPoint presentations
- Assist in business development strategy by supporting Associates and Officers
- Support Associates and Officers with project work as needed
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 1-3 years of experience in business and financial reporting valuation
- Advanced modeling in Excel (VBA/Macros)
- Exceptional financial modeling skillset including three statement modeling, DCFs, and LBOs
- Self-motivated and an exceptional work ethic
- Strong financial analysis skillset
- Strong knowledge of accounting, intangible asset valuation, and applied financial theory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- CPA and/or CFA preferred
- Big 4 valuation experience a major plus
