Job Description
Houlihan Lokey’s Capital Markets Group originates, structures, and executes private and public debt and equity financings on behalf of the firm’s corporate and private equity clients across numerous industries. In addition, the Capital Markets Group provides Sell-Side support to the Houlihan Lokey Industry Coverage teams sell-side processes by running Lender Education processes across all industry groups. Analysts work on leveraged buyout (LBO) transactions that provide exposure to various financing products, such as bank debt / senior loans, second-lien debt, unitranche debt, mezzanine debt and broadly syndicated loans.
Members of the Capital Markets Group work closely with a range of sponsor-backed clients, as well as with Houlihan Lokey’s industry coverage and M&A teams.

$105,000.00-$125,000.00

You will:
- Work side-by-side with a talented, dedicated staff of senior professionals who will provide broad exposure to the many different considerations affecting private debt and broadly syndicated loan financings in support of LBO’s for HL sell-side processes;
- Assist with evaluating and structuring financing alternatives to provide support for sell-side processes for private equity clients;
- Gain hands-on transaction experience by playing an integral role on deal teams from leverage reads for the initial pitch through closing;
- Directly interface with the capital providing community in relation to the due diligence process;
- Develop general corporate finance and due diligence skills relevant to raising capital, while building a detailed understanding of key developments and building and maintaining relationships in the debt capital markets
- Interact with a broad range of businesses across different industries.

- Two years of relevant work experience in similar roles within investment banking / private credit / private equity roles (credit underwriting, debt structuring and syndication, lending, or M&A experience preferred, but not required)
- Undergraduate degree (business/economics degree preferred, but not required) and/or MBA from a strong academic institution
- Top academic performer and a quick learner capable of performing in an unstructured environment
- Proven accounting, finance, financial modeling, and analytical abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff
- Very strong work ethic and careful attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and a proven self-starter
