What are the responsibilities and job description for the # Radiology Aide/PACS Assistant, Monday – Friday (#25-08; Posted 1/24/25) position at Houlton Regional Hospital?
With minimum supervision, performs various tasks to aid the Nuclear Medicine Technologist and assist other technologists in the Radiology Department. Will cover duties of Radiology Coordinator, and fulfill clerical duties in Radiology working as a team to complete applicable work. Willing to become IV Certified if necessary. High school graduate, or equivalent, with CNA license preferred. Typing and computer experience an asset. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with department employees, medical staff, other departments and the public.
Primary assignment - 6:30a - 3:00p. Must have Maine licensure. ARRT certification preferred.
Ideal candidate will be able to perform diagnostic x-rays and be willing to cross train in other modalities. Must be motivated, self-directed and possess the ability to work alone. CPR certification required. Required to work share of holidays, call and cover other shifts as needed. IV Therapy certification or eligible. AART and Maine licensure required.
