Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Assistant to join our Hounds Town Cincinnati team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to animals in our daycare facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and experience in handling various types of pets. This position requires a proactive individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the safety and well-being of all animals in our care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety and promoting positive interactions.
- Assist with feeding, grooming, and administering medications as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility, including cleaning kennels, play areas, and equipment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the management team.
- Provide basic training and socialization for dogs to enhance their behavior and adaptability.
- Assist in managing daily schedules for activities and playgroups.
- Support pet owners with information regarding their pets’ behavior and needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal care, such as kennel work, veterinary assistance, or pet grooming is preferred.
- Strong skills in animal handling and dog training are highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as required for animal care tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
