What are the responsibilities and job description for the Screen Reclaim Technician position at Houndstooth Clothing Co.?
Screen Cleaning
Process:
1. Ensure all tape (quick rip and split tape only) is removed from the screen.
2. Place the screen in wash-out booth #1
3. Spray both sides of the screen with Easi-Solve 701 (hanging spray gun mounted to the
booth.)
4. Scrub both sides of the screen with a scrub brush, making sure to get all ink deposits.
Scrub the aluminum frame inside and out as well.
5. Pressure wash both sides of the screen, ensuring all the ink is sprayed out.
6. Place screen on the reclaim rack
Screen Reclaiming
Process:
1. Submerge screens (no more than 6 at a time) in the emulsion remover dip tank for 15-20
seconds.
2. Remove screens and place on the rack to the left of wash-out booth #2.
3. One at a time, place screens in wash-out booth #2.
4. Spray screen down with the pressure washer, starting with the frame and then the mesh
itself. Repeat for the opposite side of the screen ensuring all emulsion and chemical is
removed.
5. Spray both sides with Easi-solve 701 (mounted spray gun.)
6. Scrub both sides of the screen with a scrub brush to completely coat the mesh.
7. Let the screen dwell for at least 3 minutes. Repeating steps 2-6 for the remaining dipped
screens.
8. Place degreased screen back in wash-out booth #2 and spray the screens out starting
with the frame and then the mesh. Repeat for the opposite side of the screen, ensuring
ALL chemicals are removed.
9. Place screen on drying rack to the right of wash-out booth #2.
10. After the drying rack is full, transfer the screens to a vertical screen rack, sliding them in
with flat sides facing up.
11. After the screen rack is full, place the rack in the screen drying room and turn on all fans.
Miscellaneous
- Maintain the cleanliness of the screen room
- Clean wash out booths regularly
- Changes the Easi-Strip Supra/Water dip tank regularly
- Organizes supplies
- Ensures all equipment is in working order at all times
16-20 hours/week @ $13/hr
Preferably Monday-Thursday 7:30am-12
