What are the responsibilities and job description for the Monitor (Evening/Overnight) position at Hour House?
Hour House seeks to fill our Evening/Overnight Monitor positions helping us provide a 24-hour awake staffing pattern in the agency’s detoxification, residential and extended care programs.
Hour House provides treatment services for men and women with Substance Use Disorders in 4 residential locations, three in Charleston, IL and one in Lerna, IL. We need monitors to work from midnight to 8AM. This position requires that staff be awake throughout the shift. Preference will be given to those who have experience working in social services, are working towards a degree in a related field or have a bachelors degree in a related field.
Responsibilities:
Monitors ensure the safety of the clients and facility, provide emotional support to clients, enforce program structure, perform housekeeping tasks, transport clients to work in agency vehicles, assist in the admission of people seeking help, and complete documentation regarding the clients in an electronic medical record. Dependability in attendance is very important.
