Hour House seeks to hire a Secretary to provide clerical assistance for the agency.
Job Summary
The secretary is the front line, first contact for people seeking Substance Use Disorder treatment services. He/she answers the phone, greets walk in customers and other professionals, routes the customer to the appropriate professional staff and schedules appointments. He/she will perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, scanning and some typing. The secretary will be trained to perform Utilization Review functions. An occasional evening shift may be required.
Responsibilities and Duties
Front desk/reception for multi-line phone system, assess needs of customers and direct to appropriate staff, take clear concise messages, schedule appointment in electronic medical record system, perform Utilization Review functions on electronic medical records, generate reports of UR findings, adhere to strict privacy/confidentiality standards and maintain professional boundaries. Assist professional staff with insurance authorizations and other duties.
Qualifications and Skills
Excellent customer service and oral communication skills, Knowledge of Word/Excel. Ability to organize and pay close attention to details. Ability to multitask. Dedication to being a productive member of the clerical support team. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
