The Assistant Store Manager will support the opening of our NYC flagship store, opening early 2025. Reporting to the Store Manager, this individual will be responsible for supporting day-to-day store operations and executing strategies to drive store sales, increase profitability, achieve customer service and operational targets.

WHAT YOU DO : Team :

  • Help recruit, interview, hire and build a team to fill all store positions.
  • Co-lead training sessions relating to new product releases, goal setting, policy and procedure enforcement and providing ongoing knowledge as needed.
  • Train and empower the store's team through effective and frequent coaching, feedback, recognition, and encouragement.

Operations :

  • Help manage and supervise all aspects of daily store operations.
  • Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
  • Create team schedules, as needed, to ensure optimal staffing in all areas.
  • Support Store Manager on ensuring back of house execution including product delivery, inventory management, back-stock organization and supply orders.
  • Ensure front of house including in-store animation, marketing activation, event coordination with HQ and customer service.
  • Maintain sales floor and ensure products and displays are merchandised effectively and according to HQ standards.
  • Stays current on theft and asset protection knowledge and reports concerns immediately to relevant parties.
  • Customer Service :

  • Lead by example and ensure the client experience is consistently best-in-class to maximize sales and encourage repeat business.
  • Act as escalation manager, seeing customer needs are met and complaints are resolved efficiently.

  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum 3 years proven retail management experience preferably within cosmetics.
  • Previous retail operations experience including inventory and facilities management.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to attract clients and provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service.
  • Makeup artistry skills preferred but not essential.
  • Proven track record of leading a team to achieve sales and customer service targets.
  • Flexible and dependable with the ability to work varying schedules, including weekends and special events.
  • Experience in creating and executing in-store events.
  • Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software.
  • The expected base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $85,000.00. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is commission eligible.
