We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teachers to join our Waldorf educational community. In this role, you will play a vital part in nurturing a holistic and creative learning environment for our students during the absence of their regular teachers. Responsibilities
- Implement Lesson Plans: Follow and adapt lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring continuity and alignment with Waldorf educational practices.
- Classroom Management: Cultivate a calm and focused classroom atmosphere that supports student engagement and creativity.
- Student Engagement: Inspire students through creative and interactive learning activities, encouraging their active participation and imagination.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and behavior.
- Performance Monitoring: Observe and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback and support as needed.
- Classroom Organization: Assist with classroom management, organization of materials, and the creation of a nurturing environment.
- Inclusive Atmosphere: Foster a safe and inclusive space that honors the individuality and creativity of each student.
Qualifications
- Experience with Children: Previous experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, particularly in a Waldorf context.
- Lesson Adaptation: Ability to adapt lesson plans creatively to fit the needs and interests of students.
- Behavior Management: Familiarity with strategies that promote positive behavior and engagement in a Waldorf setting.
- Holistic Education: Strong knowledge of and commitment to the principles of holistic education and the Waldorf approach or interest in learning.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
