Position Overview
The Lead Handyman/Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients. In addition to performing hands-on handyman tasks, you will oversee daily operations, mentor team members, and uphold our company’s high standards of service.
This role is ideal for a professional with strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional results. You will act as a trusted resource for both clients and team members, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and with the highest level of craftsmanship.

- Lead and Mentor: Supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Hands-On Project Management: Oversee and participate in home improvement tasks such as repairs, flooring, drywall, carpentry, painting, and more when required.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company standards and client expectations.
- Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and excellent service.
- Resource Management: Organize tools, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with office staff and technicians to plan schedules and allocate resources effectively.
- Community Engagement: Represent House Doctors of BuxMont at local events and networking opportunities to build relationships and promote services.
Skills and Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in handyman services, construction, or related fields, with experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of construction principles, tools, and techniques, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, etc.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and mentor a team, with strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Customer Focus: A friendly and professional demeanor with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 50 lbs, bending, and using various tools.
- Computer Knowledge: Ability to learn and use basic computer systems and programs.
- Driver’s License: Valid license required for travel to job sites.
