General Maintenance

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to join our team and ensure the safety, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of our distribution center. This role is critical to supporting daily operations and ensuring a comfortable environment for employees and visitors. This position reports to the General Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Carry out basic facility repairs and preventative maintenance, such as repairing dock doors, pallet racking, painting, changing lightbulbs, and minor plumbing or electrical work.

• Complete general maintenance requests from all departments in warehouse and office spaces.

• Keep outdoor areas clean and organized, including sidewalks, dock bays, parking lot, etc. of debris, and maintaining landscaping when required.

• Report any safety hazards, repair needs or issues to the General Manager.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Scissor lift, forklift, or similar equipment operation experience required.

• Knowledge and previous experience in operating hand or power tools.

• Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures

• Knowledge of basic plumbing or electrical skills.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment.

• Strong verbal communication abilities.

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous maintenance, construction, and/or mechanical experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

• Good physical condition and ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50lbs frequently.

• Monday Friday. Day Shift, Hours may vary. Occasional weekend work may be needed.

• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
