What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Team Lead position at House of Cheatham LLC?
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Team lead ensures that the production lines are operating at optimal capacity. Ensures that all Production Operators I-III are performing their assigned tasks and that a quality product is being produced. The Team Lead is a hands on role and will be able to step in and perform any operator role as needed. Must be able to communicate well the objectives and goals of the team. Act as a liaison between the Supervisor and Production line and communicate important details and changes in a timely and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Uses empowerment, trust and other strategies as appropriate to develop and motivate production team members
- Assists Supervisors in ensuring a positive work environment
- Motivates and communicates well to production line team
- Teach and train team members
- Ensures that company policies and procedures are communicated and followed
- Communicate expectations, assignments and responsibilities clearly and professionally
- Takes a hands on approach and works on the production line to ensure a quality product is produced
- Reports to supervisor any employee relations issues immediately and assists with communication
- Helps to identify performance strengths and needs of production line and communicate to supervisor and assists with plan to reward and / or correct
- Observes processes for safety and ensures all are adhering to safety procedures

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE
3 yrs in warehouse / manufacturing environment
2 yrs production and / or machine operator experience
Read, write and communicate in English
Mechanically savvy
Efficient computer / software user
Strong written and verbal communication skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION
High Diploma or GED required
Associates Degree or equivalent preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Temperature in the warehouse can vary to summer and winter temperatures
Must be able to stand on your feet for 95% of shift
Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
Ability to climb ladders
Must be able to bend and the knees and waist
Must be able to twist at torso
Must be able have good range of motion in arms
