SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The QA associate inspects production lines to ensure finished goods and intermediates to meet product production specifications and ensure they meet a set of consistent standards. Communicate important details, changes, and objectives in a timely manner to team and managers. The goal is to decrease the instance of defects in products and for conformance to product specification.
SCHEDULE : Wednesday-Saturday 6 : 30am-5 : 00pm
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Understand proper workflow in the production areas of the plant and apply this knowledge to assure finished goods meet all relevant specifications.
- Understand the coding system for packaging, labels, raw materials, intermediates and finished goods to maintain accurate identification of product and production components.
- Learn and understand the operation of the manufacturing and be able to create and modify production and quality documents as needed.
- Perform production line checks verifying the BOM paperwork is correct for each line.
- Perform spot checks to ensure fill levels, label position, cap torque test for tightness, batch code, best by dates, and pallets tags are accurate and meet quality specification.
- Learn and understand the complete set of Quality Assurance SOP, Good documentation documents used for products conformance to standard and obtain accurate results.
- Troubleshoot non-conforming batches, packaging, labeling or raw materials.
- Inspect out-going product when required by customs or customer requirements
- Investigate product quality complaints or concerns.
- Accurately file and maintain Quality Assurance records.
- Maintain a safe and satisfactory work area as determined by OSHA and company guidelines and procedures.
- Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Problem Sensitivity - Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It may not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
