Pay Range: $18.81-$23.50
MIP Packaging Lead Job Description:
Position summary: The packaging lead is responsible for weighing and measuring the completed product into required increments provided by the company and directing the additional department staff to meet the packaging goals and deadlines within the company. This position is detail oriented, repetitious, and requires sitting for long periods of time with some heavy lifting up to 30 lbs. As part of the team, the qualified individual will have a positive attitude, and desire to develop with this rapidly growing operation.
Core Expectations:
- Manually makes packages quickly and accurately.
- Manage and execute as efficiently as possible the postproduction of MIP products.
- Labeling of packages.
- Completes tasks efficiently to meet or exceed daily quotas for packaging.
- Oversees organizing the product that is to be packaged and allocating the appropriate number of staff to complete this task daily.
- Keep track in a timely manner of staff packaging rates and performance on the companies' platforms used.
- Maintain and communicate inventory of supplies needed for packaging and postproduction.
- Maintain compliance and staffing for post-production.
- Maintain department safety.
- Inspect packaging and products to guarantee they are free of flaws.
- Understand the needs of the company and work with the team members to achieve goals.
- Clean and sanitize work area, practice good safety handling techniques always.
- Inquire and research about potential packaging innovations and equipment to automate and improve the current processes.
- Optimize production line from final product to ready product.
- Work with MIP Director, Compliance, and Marketing to determine most effective and responsible packaging for new products.
- Maintain and update packaging as needed with compliance and marketing.
- Assisting in filling MIP orders as needed.
- Report metrics for packaging rates, inventory, and losses of product.
- METRC data entries for adjustments and final packaged items.
- Maintaining an accurate and compliant METRC inventory.
- Assist as needed to maintain accurate MIP inventory on all used platforms.
- Maintain postproduction SOPs.
- Maintain employee training on postproduction processes.
- Take directions from MIP manager.
- Maintain accuracy for weighing products in correct increments.
- Assist as needed with transferring flower products to the MIP.
- Maintaining a clean work environment.
- Maintain healthy work environment.
- Assisting as needed in the department.
- Responsible for quality control with postproduction MIP materials.
- Assist in maintaining full compliance in the MIP department.
- Report any concerns to the MIP manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Core Competencies:
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
- Detail oriented, organized, and accurate is a must.
- Management of staff to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a CO MED BADGE.
Required Experience and Education.
- Must have Excellent manual dexterity and impeccable personal hygiene.
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
