Wage Rate: $20.00 per Hour
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift (adjusted seasonally as needed; OT may be required)
Reports To: Production Manager

Summary:
Support Press Operator to set up, adjust, operate and maintain multi-color offset press (Komori 40”) to print single-color, two-color and multi-color printed sheets into a component of the finished product
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Material Loading – assist with handling plates and blankets, load skid of unprinted sheets on feed device of sheetfed press using pallet jack, unload printed sheets off the delivery to pile turner and reload on feed device of sheetfed press, ensure proper alignment and continuous feeding throughout the print run, move completed work orders to designated bindery staging areas
- Press Operation Support – work alongside press operator to monitor press performance and ensure uninterrupted operation, maintain ink fountains/supplies, assist with make-ready
- Mechanical Adjustments – adjust feeder mechanisms, paper tension and alignment to maintain quality output and prevent downtime
- Quality Control – regularly inspect materials for defects and to ensure it meets work order specifications, participate in inventory cycle counting
- Troubleshooting – quickly identify and resolve mechanical issues to keep press running smoothly
- Maintenance – assist in routine press cleaning and minor maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and efficiency, inspect equipment for safety issues, responsible for knowing lock out-tag out procedures, keep Printing work center clean and organized
- Other duties as assigned by management – duties may change at any time with or without notice
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of press capabilities and strong mechanical aptitude
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on maintaining quality and efficiency
- Ability to read and interpret work orders to complete the job within quality standards
- Ability to independently make decisions and to communicate any issues or discrepancies back to Press Operator and/or management with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work in a team environment; communicate with Press Operator and Prepress
- Ability to use computers or other forms of technology as needed to ensure work order accuracy
- Understand and comply with O.S.H.A. requirements and company safety policies
- Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds
- Ability to use pile turner, pallet jack and forklift
Minimum Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of 40” Komori sheet-fed press feed device preferred but not required
- Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States of America
